If you’re on this site, I’m sure you want to know more about Robert Pattinson. If not I think you are at the wrong website!
But it is okay! If you don’t know who my number 1 super star is… here is 20 facts for you to know him RIGHT NOW!

I took this from a website here. If you want to know more about him, then read all the 50 facts too!

1. Robert Pattinson was born May 13, 1986 in London, U.K. His dad imported vintage cars from the U.S. and his mother worked at a modeling agency.

2. Pattinson is the youngest of three children, and the only son born to Robert and Clare Pattinson.

3. Robert Pattinson was often taken advantage of by his older siblings. “Up until I was 12 my sisters used to dress me up as a girl and introduce me as ‘Claudia’!” the actor told the BBC.

4. He attended Tower House School, a private school in England, until he was 12, which was when he was expelled from school although he never shared the reason for this.

5. Pattinson began modelling at the age of 12, but his workload began to decrease four years later. In December 2008, he blamed the lack of modelling work on his masculine appearance: “When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modelling career.”

6. He ended up attending Harrodian as a teenager and joined its theater program. There, he took on starring roles in plays such as Out Town, Tess of the d’Urbervilles, and Anything Goes.

7. While living in London with his roommates, he said they would rarely do the laundry. “In London, doing the washing was a biannual thing, a giant mission. Me and my flatmate has BMX (bikes) and we’d have two of them and this massive laundry sack, a convoy.”

8.Pattinson wanted to be a performer from an early age; first as a musician like his older sister Lizzy Pattinson. It was his father who strongly encouraged him to try out acting.

9. Pattinson first made his grand debut to the world as hunky Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

10. During an interview with Scholastic magazine, he said he learned how to scuba dive for his role in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

11. However, it was his role as Edward Cullen, the vampire at the center of the best-selling Twilight Saga, which turned him into a household name and meant his poster was up in almost all teenage girls rooms.

12. Robert seriously considered quitting acting because he couldn’t get any jobs and return back to London. A couple of days later, he auditioned for Twilight.

13. His audition for the role of Edward Cullen, a century-old vampire in love, took place in the bedroom of the movie’s director Catherine Hardwicke. Pattinson wowed both Hardwicke and his future co-star, Kristen Stewart, with his performance. “Everybody came in doing something empty and shallow and thoughtless,” Stewart told GQ. “But Rob understood that it wasn’t a frivolous role.”

14. After he was announced as Edward Cullen, some 75,000 people signed a petition against him taking the role, saying they felt he wasn’t right to play the character from the popular books. Fortunately, he got the part and perhaps those petitioner has realized it all worked out in the end. “I stopped reading [blogs] after I saw the signatures saying ‘Please, anyone else,'” the actor says of “Twilighters” initially protesting his casting.

15. While filming Twilight, Robert Pattinson injured himself on his very first shot. “I wasn’t even doing a stunt. I was just trying to pick up Kristen Stewart and I almost tore my hamstring because I hadn’t been doing enough squats,” the actor told the Los Angeles Times. “It was very embarrassing.”

16. Many doubted he was good-looking enough for the role of Edward Cullen. “There was a call from the head of the studio,” Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke says about execs questioning Pattinson’s casting as Edward Cullen. “‘Are you sure you can make this guy handsome?'” Fortunately for fans, Hardwicke won out, and says of the star, “He’s obviously ridiculously photogenic, but he’s also so talented…I see him creating stylized, odd, wild, fantastical characters.”

17. He proved to be very hardworking and poured himself into the character of Edward. He showed up in Oregon, where the movie was filmed, months in advance of the shooting to work out with a trainer and dissect the script and other work from Twilight’s author, Stephenie Meyer.

18. While filming Twilight, he would have to wear gold-colored contacts for his role which he called “orange blobs.”

19. In between filming the second and third Twilight films, Robert took “some time off” to film Remember Me. This hardworking actor actually only had three days off between filming. Poor guy!

20. Fans were everywhere when he was filming Remember Me and he says it was hard to focus. “It was the most ridiculous experience,” he says of shooting the movie as fans looked on. “You’re trying to stay in character and you’re trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you’re not this character.”
